​Course Description

This course is for students who are interested in learning the principles required to produce and alter simple PowerPoint presentations.  Exploring the PowerPoint environment as the students create a presentation. Students will work with text on slides, enhancing it as well as add and change graphical elements to a presentation.

 

Course pre-requisites

Be familiar with Windows and using the mouse.

  • The PowerPoint environment

  • Working with the ribbons

  • Creating a blank presentation

  • Use different views

 

Building a Presentation

  • Creating a new presentation

  • Entering text into a presentation

  • Save, close and open a presentation

  • Closing a presentation

  • Inserting new slides

  • Creating different slide layouts

  • Format text using the font options

  • Change paragraph formatting

  • Create bulleted lists

 

Pictures, Shapes and Text Boxes

  • Insert pictures

  • Change the picture style

  • Enhance the picture

  • Use picture effects

  • Rotate
